Yom Hazikaron |
|
|
On Yom Hazikaron eve we all joined the Moshav for a ceremony at a memorial spot
dedicated to those killed by a Syrian mine whom Avnei Eitan is named after. People
shared memories about the departed and a few prayers were said. Additionally some
of the Talmidim led the singing at the ceremony. Many people commented how inspiring
the singing was and how much it added to the evening. |

Alumni Shabbaton |
|
|
Shabbat two weeks ago (April 17th) was very special as 12 alumni who are living
in Israel attended it. Some of them are in the middle of their army service while
others have finished their duties or are completing them now and settling in to
university. We all ate together, had meaningful Teffilot and Shiurim, and throughout
Shabbat many of the graduates shared their experiences and stories with the Talmidim
about making Aliyah, serving in the IDF, and living in Israel.

This Month's Torah Studies |
|
|
The past few weeks have seen diverse and varied Torah subjects studied in out Bet-Midrash.
We have studied the inner meanings and Torah significance of Yom HaZikaron and of
Yom Ha’Atzmaut.
We have delved in to the teachings and wisdom of Rabbi Shimon-Bar-Yochai, and have
tried to understand the practical spiritual implications of Lag BaOmer. Additionally,
in the past few weeks The Talmidim have gotten a chance to spend time with each
of the Rabbis for a few days in small and intimate groups, thus enabling them to
better understand and learn from each specific Rabbi their individual and personal
approach to Torah.
During this time the different groups discussed and studied about Shabbat, Mitzvot,
Teffila, and Hashem as viewed from their and the rabbi’s perspective. It was a very
informative, engrossing, and enthralling experience for all. |
