During the last few weeks of the Mechina, we decided to cover a variety of topics
in the Bet Midrash, studying and exploring them from all their different angels.
Among other topics we covered were, Mitzvat Tzitzit- the reasons, it’s significance and the importance of Techelt, Shemirat Shabbat, the Mitzvot in general, Teffila,
and more.

Final trip |

For our final trip of the year we went to the black canyon in the Yehudiya nature
reserve called HaNakkik HaShachor, famous for its steep cliffs and deep pools.
It was a very exhilarating and challenging hike, as
it required rappelling at a
number of places and jumping from heights in to deep water.

The Mechina, like many other Yeshivot, joined the tens of thousands of people at
Rav Mordechai Eliyahu’s funeral in Yerushalayim.
It was a very moving and powerful experience for all of us, and we hope and pray
that the Rav will continue to do
good for Am Yisrael also from above.

Goodbye party. |

Another fun, successful, and exciting year has ended! A few days ago we had our
end of the year goodbye party.
A number of the students shared thoughts about their time in LYA, the staff spoke
and presented each student with a gift, we watched a few video clips about the past
year, and together with many adoptive families that joined the party we had a great time.
We wish lots of Hatzlacha to all of our graduates wherever they may be continuing. |
